Basic concept of graph in kinematics
Important thing
“Slope=differentiation=tan (α) =dy/dx”
"Integration = area under curve"
[A] Graph with constant
slope
[B] Graph with increasing slope
[C] Graph with decreasing slope
How to apply:
- Velocity (v) = slope of position - time (x-t) graph
- Acceleration (a) = slope of Velocity – time (v-t) graph
- x = change in position = displacement = area under curve of (v-t) graph
- v = change in velocity = area under curve of (a-t) graph
Velocity (v) = slope of position - time (x-t) graph
Acceleration (a) = slope of Velocity – time (v-t) graph
